Hi,
I'm visiting Kyoto next month, can anyone provide any info (Download or Stream)on a recent Japanese TV documentary, I think the title is "The Kyoto David Bowie Loved"
                I would like to visit some areas Bowie visited, I have some lined up already, the stall in the Sukita "Speed of life" book where Bowie is buying some food is still there, run by the man who served Bowie that day and the Temples where the adverts were filmed are on my list.
        Any info on this Documentary before I visit would be great.

Update:
    In Japan I watched on youtube  a Japan only seven minute trailer of this documentary "The Kyoto Bowie Loved" Interesting photos I hadn't seen before, interviews with his Japanese friends etc.
        In Kyoto I visited the food stall Mr Bowie was photographed at by Sukita in the Speed of Life book and the guy who served him is still there and he has pictures of articles about Bowies visit in 1980 on display next to his beef and eel food stuff.
                      We presented him with a set of the Royal Mail Bowie stamps for his display, which he was delighted with. I was shown a photograph of David at the stall which is signed by Sukita.
      I've seen pics of Bowie and Iman on their honeymoon at Kyoto's Gion Festival, well maybe next year. :)

Well as above I managed to get to the Kyoto Gion matsuri (fantastic), Bowie and Iman visited Kyoto for this festival, I think it was their honeymoon, there is photos on the net of David with massive video camera in hand and Iman lookin bored.
             I visit Kyoto as much as possible and try to follow in Bowie's footsteps, with the information I have on his visits. I'm still lookin out for this Japanese documentary on David in Japan if anyone has it recorded.

The artist supplies shop Saiundo is still there, look through the window and the seat David sat on for Sukita's photos is in the same position...amazing.

For anyone interested in Bowie's Japan trips (just me then) there is a new Sukita book out from a recent exhibition in Kyoto station of photos from Bowie's 1980 visit mixed with Sukita's recent photos of the various locations and more, Japanese language only, but a few shots I'd not seen before.....Amazon.jp.....I'm not on commission.....pity!
