How to install µTorrent

The recommended version is µTorrent 2.2.1. Later versions are known to cause various strange problems.
You can't download this version from µTorrents website, but you can get it from Oldversion.com.

After downloading µTorrent you need to run the installation program you have downloaded (utorrent_2-2-1).
This can either be done directly from your browser (if it appears at the bottom of the screen) or from your Downloads folder.

When opening the file, you will probably get asked by Windows if you want to run the program.
To install it you must accept it. Later on in the installation, you will probably get similar questions.
If so, you also need to accept them.

This is the first window you will see. You can choose between many languages for installation.
Choose your preferred language and click OK.

Click on "Next" to start the installation.

Click on "Next" after reading the warning.

Read through the license agreement and click "I Agree" to continue.

Choose your preferences for installation. The default settings should be fine.
Click on "Next" to continue.

Here you should leave the setting for the Firewall marked.
If you have installed another firewall/antivirus you might have to configure that too.

The option to start µTorrent automatically is recommended if you use it on a computer that you only use on your own network.
If you have a laptop that you use with different networks, you should probably turn this off.

Congratulations, you have now installed µTorrent.
