Hello all! I'm sure many of you saw the news earlier today about the new 40th anniversary picture disc release of "Be My Wife", most interestingly of all in that it will feature a "previously unreleased" live version of "Art Decade" from the 1978 Perth show. I looked in the torrents available here and didn't find that gig for download. Is there indeed a bootleg recording already available? Thanks in advance xxtyler

Apparently it was an FM broadcast (or so I heard), but not the whole gig.  I've only ever come across one person who has it, and he's not letting go!

Don't blame me, I didn't do it!

Steve, if there would have been a radio bradcast the recording would definitely been circulating.

I have just left a question on the Bowie Downunder website asking if this show was broadcast, surely someone on that should know.

Not directly related to this, but can I throw it out there for opinions (in the hope that someone from Bowie's people may even read it!).

If there are any other Yes fans out there, there was a real treat when Progeny was released in 2015.  The classic Yessongs triple album was culled from seven gigs in 1972 - and the original recordings resurfaced (did I hear they were in Chris Squire's shed, or something like that?).  Anyway, Progeny is a 14CD set, with the full recording of every gig that contributed towards Yessongs.

Perhaps you can see where I'm going with this.  We've just had Who Can I Be Now in 2016, so presumably something is in the pipeline to cover the so-called Berlin trilogy.  That includes Stage which, to my understanding, was culled from four gigs in Boston, Providence and Philadelphia.  Rather than just polishing it again, wouldn't it be great if the whole of all four gigs were included?  As an aside, only one of them is in circulation as a bootleg.

Don't blame me, I didn't do it!

I Like your thinking there Steve23yh, it would be nice.

I remember reading somewhere that Carlos Alomar revealed that every show was recorded I think from 1976 onward.

I heard / read that, not the year 1976, but that almost every live show was recorded from the soundboard, yeah no i read it, thought it was Visconti that said it though.  :|

Not only the 78 shows - there was also the Rotterdam '76 supposedly recorded by RCA (although this is on the bootleg art so take with large pinch of salt)
