Has anyone come across the Lost Bowie CD set? The third one seems interesting for the Ziggy sessions I've never seen anywhere.

I'd love to hear these, but probably just to debunk them.
My guess is that they are either circulating known versions, or fakes using the Ziggy multi tracks or simply using BBC versions.

Star would be the clincher, it's only the demo that's known to exist, there are no other vocal tracks that could be used, ie BBC.

But with the other discs including the not Bowie Mott The Hoople tracks, the set can't really be trusted.

There was one of these on Ebay earlier but somebody has purchased it.

The Life on Mars mixes look to be something prepared by Ken Scott in 2003 for a Swedish TV programme.

Looking on Discogs, the label these discs are on seems to be based in Mexico and use CDrs (nicely presented) rather than factory burned stuff.

I've not heard the 2003 mixes and I can't seem them on the tracker but it looks as though they have been shared in the past, presumably on another site.

Regrettably, I suspect this is not a revelation.

Looks like the only thing I've never seen is the Ziggy sessions. No info around either so I have to agree it's looking like outtakes.

Decided to take a bullet and buy a copy. Give it a miss, they are either made from the surround sound stems, radio/TV sessions or mono folds.

But I haven't heard the version of 'Hang Onto Yourself' that's here before.

If anyone wants a download, shoot me a PM. I also have Lost Bowie 1 & 2

Have just listened.
Hang On To Yourself is the known 'Gene Vincent' version from 1971.
It's quite a bit lower quality than the best available circulating copy too.
Nothing to see there i'm afraid.
