Hi I'm looking for all variations of the song Fun (Fun House) in flac :D

-Fun Fade 2
-Dillinja Mix
-Clownboy Mix
-Clownboy Mutant Mix
-Clownboy Mix Vocal Up
-Clownboy Instrumental

Thank you so much for your help!

Edit: Looks like all but the Dillinja mix can be found on the unofficial Glastonbury Messiah, however a search of the torrents here for that returned no results. If someone could please nudge me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

-----------

EDIT: I have found all of these tracks. Thank you to those that reached out with help!

They're official releases, so you won't find them here.  Except for the Dilinja mix, they're on C'Est La Vie, so if you can find a download of that, job's a good'un.

Dilinja mix is on liveandwell.com, but it's on disc 2 which is a CDI - so don't know how you would get to that...

Thank you for your response!
I will continue to attempt to find C'Est La Vie in lossless. I understand now that because it contains material that was officially released it will not appear here.
I have been unsuccessful in finding it for quite some time. I've managed to rip a few random tracks from it that others have uploaded on YouTube and the quality is quite poor.
Finding it in FLAC would be like finding the holy grail!
Thanks again!

Thank you hyttonrunn!
Unfortunately I have only found a 160kbps mp3 version of C'est La Vie there.
I appreciate the suggestion anyway!
:)

3) liveandwell.com cassette 7:53
4) Dillinja mix 5:52 (liveandwell.com)
5) Fun Fade 2 4:24
6) #2 Clownboy mix 3:12
7) #3 Clownboy Mutant mix 3:15
8.) #5 Clownboy mix Voc Up 3:11
9) #7 Clownboy Instrumental 3:13

http://www.illustrated-db-discography.nl/SongDF.htm#F
From the Illustrated David Bowie Discography, with annotation:

Fun (Bowie): this drum 'n' bass track evolved from 'Is It Any Wonder', itself based on a line from 'Fame'. To most fans, it will remain a bit of a mystery, as the three officially released versions were offered only to BowieNet members. (1) A 3'31" mix featured on the BowieNet CD-ROM, distributed in 1998 to new subscribers only. The second is (2) a 7'42" "live" version (supposedly recorded in Amsterdam, Paradiso, 10-06-97), which appeared on liveandwell.com, a section of BowieNet featuring live performances of the Earthling tour. (3) This studio version, with a live audience mixed in, also featured on a promo cassette for liveandwell.com, but was omitted from the released 2CD. Instead, the liveandwell.com 2CD featured (4) the Dillinja Mix. Promo-only is (5) Fun Fade 2 (w/o crowd @ top & shorter fade), a variation of the "live version", which appared on an in-house promo CDR also containing 'Tryin' To Get To Heaven'. The mixes on the in-house Danny Saber Mixes promo CDR are four shorter variations of the BowieNet CD-ROM mix, here labelled (6) #2 Clownboy Mix, (7) #3 Clownboy Mutant Mix, (8.) #5 Clownboy Mix Voc. Up, (9) #7 Clownboy Instr. These four variations have appeared on Glastonbury Messiah (BOW 2000).

Maybe wrong term, but mixed media disc.  When I tried to extract the track, dB PowerAmp simply couldn't find the tracks, which I assume was because of the BowieNet bit.  I've had this elsewhere when things like video tracks are added as 'bonuses'.

Gotcha - now I understand.
I think the problem you describe can rear it's ugly head because it is possible to do these type of discs in 2 ways, but only 1 of which actually conforms to Audio CD specs (and I shall check this as off the top of my head I cannot remember if one is considered wrong or not).
It is all down to where the data track is added - the whole idea was to try & stop rippers working properly and this was attempted by adding the data track first as opposed to afterwards with the idea being if the first track seen was data then the disc could not be ripped. It did not work well, and had the unexpected side effect of actually preventing playback in some devices.
So there are 2 different implementations - CD-i adds the audio tracks after the data and CD+ adds the data track after the red book. CD= is by far the most reliable method, and can easily be created in most decent CD writing tools. All you do is add the Red Book content first and then leave the session open instead of closing it, then add the data section & only after this close the session & finalize the disc.
All the EMI 24-bit "Mewtilations" releases were done in this manner.

Cheers Neil.  I was trying to rip, not write, so interested that you managed it.  How?

I simply used EAC and it just...worked.
On the rare occasions EAC struggles (and they do exist although off the top of my head I cannot remember what) I fire up my DAW & use that instead.
The trouble for some rip apps is usually caused by the data track being added first and the RedBook audio data afterwards, and this can confuse a ripper into thinking it has a CD-ROM inserted instead of a CD-Extra, where the Red Book is added first & the data track afterwards.
EAC will usually do the job though and I have always found it to be the best rip tool out there as it has built in accurate rip if set up when you first run the app.

Give it a try - it is far, far better than dB PowerAmp is.

Cheers Neil.  Already had EAC, but was always a bit put off by it previously as it used to make the CPU on an old machine overheat!  You're absolutely right however, read disc 2 no problems.

EAC is simply the best rip tool for CD out there, bar none at all.
