We have had notice of server down time for essential migration, read the following please.

FROM QUICKPACKET OUR HOST.
We are pleased to announce that we will be migrating all servers in Charlotte, NC to a new data center facility in Ashburn, VA during the month of January. The move to the new facility will enable us to continue to grow and service your needs now and in the future. Ashburn, VA is the largest data center market in the world and we will be able to provide substantially improved connectivity, including peering with many major networks such as Google, Facebook, and Cloudflare. We will also offer new public and private cloud solutions from Ashburn backed by fast flash-based SAN storage.

We know that you will have some questions about the move. Any questions or concerns are welcome. Please respond to this message or open a support ticket and we will be happy to answer them.

Here are a few questions and answers about the move.

Q: When will the move occur?

A: We are planning for Friday, January 21, going into Saturday, January 22. We will begin at 8:00PM Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5) on Friday, January 21.

Q: How long will the outage last?

A: The maintenance window is from 8:00PM on Friday, January 21 until 8:00PM on Saturday, January 22. While this maintenance window indicates that your server may be down for 24 hours, we anticipate that the actual outage will not last for the full maintenance window. While we cannot predict the exact amount of time required for the move, here is some additional information that should give you a general idea of the time required:

- The new facility is approximately 416 miles away from the old facility. The driving time will be about six to seven hours.

- There will be time required for de-racking, packing, loading, unloading, unpacking, and re-racking the equipment, which will likely be about three to five hours at each location

I have done a reboot of the server tonight and it went well, so it should be no problems for the server going online after the psychical move.

The server will be turned off prior to the move which is scheduled at Saturday 02:00 CET.
I do not have an exact time when it will happen, it depends on how late I will stay up :)

Interestingly Yeeshkul and The Traders Den were down yesterday at the same time as Bowiestation - all at the same hoster I guess...

But everything worked again yesterday evening. Phew!

I know that The Traders Den uses the same host. It was the admin there that gave me the suggestion when we were looking for a host :)

Just a 'heads-up' that the RADIO feature doesnt appear to be working on my PC or my phone since the server move.
My Antivirus / internet security (Kaspersky) is flagging that page as  "Possibly the certificate is out of date and requires renewing"

Everything else on the site is fine.

The radio is now back and should hopefully now work without interruptions in the future.
