It that’s time again we need donations to keep the site running, the last time we asked for donations was 18 months ago, and thanks to all members that have donated in the past, but the balance on the sites account is getting low.

Since November 2015 BowieStation has been on paid servers. The current server cost is still around $98 a month. When you consider it we have done really well.

For those of you who have donated in the past the details are the same for new donation’s please contact Steveboy for details: http://www.bowiestation.com/mailbox.php?compose&id=110

I would personally like to see new donators as it seems to be the same members every time there is a request and we have leechers just downloading many many Gigabytes of shows and giving nothing back.

The site needs updating but at the moment Jan Erik is not well enough to do any of this work so be patient. Maybe when he reads this he may give us an update.

Don't forget every little helps.

It's been over a year since the last time we asked for donations, where your getting three months from I dont know.

As you say though it is always the same members donating every time and similar is happening this time.

You are right, I really don't know how much money is left from earlier donations, I just added up the last 8 donations and came to about 300 $, thats where my 3 month came from.
Would be very nice if the donations would flow a bit easier.

It costs 98$ per month to run this site, so yes 300$ would last 3 months. In may we also pay a yearly fee to the host server and name or something like that.

With the donation that have come in and the balance left we have about 4-5 months in advance.

I still think everyone who wants to use the site should have to pay a small yearly subscription. I’m imagining that with the amount of users on here it wouldn’t have to be much. Seems only fair to me.

Easier said than done, this was brought up the last time I asked for donations, although we have 21,000 [LOL] supposed members I doubt they are all Bowie fans.

If they dont pay  do we block them?? If a thousands pay say £2.00 each into the paypal account, I suspect paypal would start an investigation. The last lot of donations when ever it was I had to prove who I was with Passport, Bank statement etc. not nice when your trying to run an illegal torrent site.

If anyone has any ideas let me know, mass texts can be sent by admin.

So maybe we will need a subscription type of membership or do as Dime does and  kick in the RATIO  effect for downloading.
