Hi Steve,

Have you thought of other ways of trying to prick members' consciences?

May be a lot of trouble, but if you had records of how much someone has downloaded vs when they last helped out, if they have not helped out, a polite mail to them might jog their memory?

May not be what you wish to do, but I would not think it unreasonable if I got a mail myself, for example, if my contributions vs my assistance fell short. I am not everyone though, but like you imply the site doesn't run itself :)
