I hope this hasn't been brought up here before. It would be interesting to see if AI could be used to clean some of these rougher bootlegs.

It would be interesting.  AI needs to be trained, which takes up a lot of development time - so finding both the content and the justificaion to do this might be a big ask.  If it's there, it would be fantastic news and a game-changer, however.

there's more than one type
which means $ spent
watched some yt video where they named the cheapo one used in an 'official' clean-up video of some rap act
the things you learn on a Censored site

sometimes visuals are better with the bathroom door open. :-@

Peter Jackson used some sort of computer voodoo to enhance the old 16mm film for the Get Back documentary plus isolate conversations between the Beatles that had been unintelligible before because of ambient noise.

Bill Graham filmed everyone who played in the San Francisco area; Who '73 and a Lynyrd Skynyrd are in circulation. They're not the easiest on the eyes. It stands to reason there Bowie shows still in the vaults not good enough for Wolfgang's Vault that use that kind of tweaking.

Graham ran tape on all the acts at his shows too. Plus he saved all unsold tickets and other merch as well as unused posters and handbills. I remember seeing a video of the guy who bought Bill Grahams warehouse and how they went down to the lower storage room (huge!) and found row after row of file cabinets stuffed full of old concert stuff. That's how the website Wolfgang's Vault started. (Wolfgang was Grahams real first name and they thought it best to use that so folks wouldn't confuse the site with evangelist Billy Graham.)

'The Beatles' explains a lot

IF people bought shares in him,
I can see it happening.

"You could see the Sellotape on that one."

I've said that too.

On here the consensus [?] was 'don't be silly' to the new movie having a soundtrack album.

"You mean like the Beatles Love  remix album ?"

Was one on Youtube.

:idea

You can do some things with AI Video cleanup, but as already pointed out you must be careful or else you will run into serious issues - even Disney cocked this up when they ran early animated features through AI Cleanup and it made all the hand-drawn art look like cheap graphics.
It can also eliminate all the subtle light effects, make faces look like robots and so on.

As far as audio goes, forget it. Period.
NO algorithm can do what a human who knows what he is doing can achieve.
And moreover, no algorithm will ever be capable of matching, never mind surpassing, the human

Is that the extended version?
I don't have the vinyl, but will check for rip versions although unless we are talking about the ANCIANT remasters, I probably don't have it so would definitely be interested.

Not yet, but if a human being can make out a singers voice in an awful audience recording, then someday a computer will be able to do so as well - and if that computer has been given examples of what his voice sounds like, then it will be able to re-sing that song and have every inflection reproduced exactly as it was sung that night. And re-strum every guitar lick, etc.. The audience recordings will serve as a guide or a framework on which to hang the newly-recreated elements.

But that all depends on civilization continuing for another few decades.

The first step will be recreating lectures rather than performances. Even a lecture recorded on a cassette tape Walkman from 20 rows back will be able to sound like it was from a lavalier mic.

Some of this has already started (see 'Rachmaninov by Rachmaninov', sadly only now available as stereo mp3 but I bought it when it was still high res lossless in stereo & surround) but the problem is multi-timbral sources. AutoTune creates so many artifacts it's just not funny and it's use can usually be spotted quite quickly once you know what you are listening for.
