Not sure if anyone has seen it, but there's a FLAC version of (I think) the full broadcast of the final Ziggy show from October 25 1974 in circulation, so it's the same 1974 mix that's the same as His Master's Voice.  It's only missing Watch That Man and Round and Round, and has all the US censoring in, but is quite interesting, as I'm not sure that the full broadcast has seen the light of day before, and its obviously a different mix from the released versions of the show?

The downside is that there's some tape wobble/speed issues, and there are some strange track splits (Width of a Circle is split in two, with the second part labelled Queen Bitch) - I don't have the time, skill or probably the equipment to do it, but if someone fancies a "project" then this might be quite a nice one to try and tidy up the faults and make a nice version!

It's not my upload, but here's the link with the information/background (I'm not sure the poster knows what they have really) - https://www.guitars101.com/threads/abc-tv-in-concert-fm-simulcasts-1972-1975-off-air-masters-new-to-circulation.786932/ or if you just want to skip straight to the files they're in a Google Drive folder (again not mine - the original poster's) - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1es2kgGgtdoqoqPpGMXKXzbtzDvrsR5Qu - the folder you want is folder 15...

Thanx for sharing the find. As you mention it's a shame about the downsides (sound quality).

The whole share - with Todd Rundgren, Chuck Berry, The Bee Gees et al, is a bit of a treasure trove - true the quality dips here and there but from what I checked earlier some of it - including at least some of this Bowie concert - is in great quality for its age.

I am going to listen to it all through: I am finding there is metallic noise which is either tape wear or static or a combination of both? This means that eq-ing and/or cleaning up Ziggy and Width of a Circle from this version and the existing FM tape version is probably the best route to finding a 'best' for the non- His Master's Voice / A London Show LP tracks.

Certainly my own efforts would be amateurish ... I can't help hoping that this cropping up right now *might* be the final nudge to the powers that be to put out a 50th anniversary version next year that is finally as close to what was performed on the night as possible.

Hope you're right, that would be great to finally have it as it was really, at last in fine sound and complete... Hope springs eternal... :D

Not sure that's a good idea? Steve mentioned getting contacted / or pressured about a Lazarus show on here not long ago. I couldn't find my previous FM version of this show - a shame as I had it on tape and it had been online before - and I noted there is *no* permutation of the 3rd July 73 show at all from what I could see, probably for a good reason.

As the weekend has arrived, I think it's worth repeating that the *whole* FM share linked to above is very interesting.

True, 10gig of shows by a variety of acts that may not appeal to all is not for everyone - but it's been a good ride so far. Alice Cooper - never fully took to him, and the show I listened to won't change that: I can see why Iggy once inferred his act was cartoon-ish (despite the fact he and Alice played golf together from what I read :)), but interesting nonetheless. The Chuck Berry show I've heard so far was great. The Lennon show was very good, and wiki showed me it's unlikely to be same performance that did get released (the afternoon show got released first, rather than the evening show), and I can see why Slade were seen as an exciting live act in the 70s. Now checking out some Jim Croce.

The phrase "such vibrant times ... " from 'Spaced' keeps springing to mind :).
