In the shoutbox I asked for these wetransfer recordings to be shared as torrents here as well. I am not a moderator but just a member who thinks it is a loss when these fabulous recordings are not becoming part of the permanent vault Bowiestation is. Besides messages in the shoutbox aren't visiable anymore after after a couple days. And wetransfer are active for only a short period of time.

I'm with you Jean-Henri. That plus losssy shares that dilute the pool. Maybe I'm wrong but I always saw this place as the offspring of Mindwarp Pavillion and Savage Jaw before it where the slogan was "where quality counts". Shouts should be for discussion not sharing of boots and those being shared should be held to some kind of standards.

I agree with you, Homebrew. Although I think lossy should be allowed if it is the only available source. I also would like to add we could do without remasters being added here, while much better sounding versions are already available. 'Where quality counts' should indeed be respected.

Lets talk about moderators and admin - apart from myself where are they all???

The shoutbox has a history, just click the link, over 100 pages.

There is nothing stopping other people taking the initiative and uploading these 'we transfers' as torrents themselves, after all most of the work has been done, some people have more time than others.

Rant over, maybe we can get some new 'MODERATORS' to take the shit away from me.

OOps sorry I started inadvertently a storm in a tea cup,I thank all moderators(and not)about the effort they put on sharing to others theirs "private" gems,Been a Bowie fan for since I saw him on the serious moonlight tour,I've been a member of many Bowie sites over the years and every now and then a controversy starts about lossy not lossy(aren't most of audience recording lossy?)sharing not sharing,thanking not thanking...I am here because Bowie has been part of all my life and having to do with people with the same karma(haha)just make me feel connected and i bit better about the all human race.So again i thank all of you Bowie Freaks out there for being here,sharing your thoughts,feelings,rants,etc..(isn'it why internet was all about?)I wish I could contribute more but these days i can just enough pay for my internet connection.
Love all of ya who contribute on this great site,and,not,I am not high on drugs..

To answer Mikes question of how many donate to the site to help running, well Mike there have been 274 members who have donated of which 57 have donated more than once!!!. I'll let you all ponder over the math, just look at how many members there are and how many of these are working for the bootleggers.

If people share tru email/wetransfer/torrent or any other medium should we care?

i personally appreciate the fact that people share, this is a very nice community. Should the torrents be the number 1 reason to be here.

For me it is not. (althou i really enjoy finding new recordings that i overlooked in the year ive been collecting.) But mostly i prefer the forum and well the shoutbox is also mighty fine.
