New member here. Been a Bowie fan since 1987. I was 7 years old when Labyrinth came out on VHS, and to my parents' annoyance would watch that video over, and over, and over again, singing along with him to the music. (I also attempted to wish away my brothers, but it never worked). Later, I found out my mom actually had one of his records, the Young American album, and made her play it for me. It's still one of my favorites to this day. I would watch all his music videos when they came on MTV and try to catch every interview/talk show he appeared on while collecting as many of his works as I could over the years. I was extremely heartbroken when he passed, and my biggest regret was that I never got the chance to see him live. I was 15 when he was touring with NIN in my city, and my parents refused to let me go to the concert because I was "too young". Something I still haven't forgiven them for. Bowie's music has always just been a big part of my life and it gives me comfort whenever I listen to it. Finding this site and reading a lot of the posts, it makes me happy to see that I'm not the only one who feels that way.
