It's so interesting to hear the full length Omikron version - instead of the short edits as found on the previously released Omikron/Nomad Soul bootlegs.

fyi - it's definitely different than the one included on the 'hours...' bonus disc.

Yup - it's quite different even though it has the same title & run time, so sounds to me like a different mix was done for the extra tracks on 'Hours'.
Which is interesting in a lot of ways, as the version of 'Thusdays Child' is the same one (obviously a different master, but the mix is the same) as is 'The Dreamers' - so one wonders why this one got remixed, unless of course the version hiding away on the game discs was unfinished, hence why hidden?

A seriously cool find though.

My theory is whomever compiled the Hours bonus disc was simply sent the wrong thing, but they didn't know the difference and went along with the label they were told to use. We know mislabeling to be an issue on many other bonus tracks throughout Bowie's reissue history. Since this full length rip matches the mix you hear edited into the game's intro, I think it's safe to call it "the real" Omikron mix. The Hours bonus track then should be called something like "Early Album Mix" since the instrumentation is much, much closer to the album than the game.

Or are we only talking 'New Angels Of Promise' here (suspect this is the case)
