The last Manchester show I'm sure is November 17th 2003.
I don't recall him performing in Manchester 2004 unless he's did a TV show in 2004.

That's a really good question, although some of the audience recordings are to my ears actually better than a dry soundboard/IEM version because you get the FX (reverbs, delays etc) that are usually absent from IEM tapes. A great example of this is the final Japanese show on the Wardour label (there are now 2 versions of this, wardour-169 'A Reality In Osaka' (the first release) and also wardour-482 'Definitive Osaka 2004', a supposed upgrade. These are superb recordings made by someone who knew what they were doing and are definitely better (to my ears, anyway) than some so-called soundboard recordings.

The show is indeed very good. The taper certainly knew their stuff too.
Soundboard/Broadcast from 03/04?
As you know there are a fair number of these so I'll keep this to my personal favourites:

1 - Let's Go
2004 05 14 - John Labatt Centre, London, Ontario (Not On Label BOW05 1404)
A partial show, broadcast by the BBC so doubtless from a lossy source (I'll check this & post back if it turns out to be lossless) and is sadly just 13 tracks. The performance here is quite superb though, and if you get the chance grab a copy for the version of 'Under Pressure', which sounds as good as I have ever heard it. Gail's vocals are hair-raisingly good and (dare I say it?) she does a better job than the late, great Freddie did.

2 - A Reality Tour
2003 09 08 - BBC Riverside Studios (2017 Not On Label) - not the Dublin Point release of the same name. This was partly official on a 'blink & you missed it' CD/DVD edition of 'Reality' of just 11 tracks, and this version has 14 tracks. The whole show does exist but as an audience recording and has all 18 performed tracks. It's basically the 'Reality' album performed live in it's entirety, by the live band and I think it blows the studio mixes away. The broadcast was supposedly mixed by Bowie.

3 - Live In The Bahamas
2003 12 20 - Atlantis Resort, Nassau, Bahamas (FM)
There are a few iterations of this one floating around but for me the winner has to be this one because you get a nice little broadcast bonus from French TV on 2003 09 19 from Tele Francais.
The Bahamas section is (sadly) another incomplete show with just 13 songs included, plus an additional 4 from French TV.

4 - Kansas Mountain Magic
2004 05 10 - Starlight Theatre, Kansas City MO (Golden Eggs egg 32-33)
A complete show this time, sounds like it was mainly from an IEM, but in this case I think the recording was made by the monitor engineer as the balance is a lot better than most IEM, which are usually drums, bass & vocal heavy and no FX at all - the FX are not as up front as they should be here either, but it's still superior to most IEM recordings.

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of the IEM recordings unless they have been matrixed with a decent audience recording because they are just too flat, with no EFX included & tend to be drums, bass & vocal heavy depending on whose feed has been tapped into for the recording. Some of the audience recordings from 2003/2004 really are streets ahead of the IEM versions - take the 4CD set 'Borgata Kill Appeal' for example, with both dates from the 29th & 30th of May, 2004 at the BVorgata Event Centre, Atlantic City. Very nice.
My other favourite recording from Reality is still the last show in Japan - it's simply outstanding.
But all this said, perhaps one of the finest audience recordings in my collection has to be this one from the 'Heathen' tour, as it is close to perfection.:
2002 10 02 - Hammersmith Odeon, London (The Bewlay Brothers At The Hammersmith) 3CD (Rattlesnake)


I keep meaning to get as many reality recordings as I can and somehow put together an 'Ultimate Reality' set with as complete a set list as I can create.
So - if anyone has some GOOD audience recordings can they please let me know & we can discuss swapsies, perhaps?
