Are any of the tapers that recorded the 4 shows at the Apollo here...or do any members have master or close to recordings from those shows...the recordings that are already up on site,are not the ones im looking for.

Good call - I liked the audience response on the tape I had, but didn't keep it because the audio quality pailed in comparison to other 78 shows.

I still think more US recordings could emerge from Bowie's 70's tours too. Here's hoping.

Did Bowie have any up and coming bands as support slots in 1978?

Similar question re other 70s tours ... just thinking how the Round and Round audience recording from Hammersmith 73, which was quite a good listen, turned up on a Jeff Beck bootleg / site / blog (either or all of that 3) ...

There is a *small* chance a rare Bowie audience recording could turn up in the hands of a supporter of a support act / sideperson ... Dunno if there would be, say, Luther Vandross fans might have a fantastic late 74 recording that has not emerged yet, but you never know ...

only supports were in Australia..dont think that applied to the indoor shows and New Zealand?...

A band called The Angels, I see. Although they had some success, I expect we would know by now if one of their fans had a high quality Bowie audience recording that had not circulated much.

I have the one named 'Ice On The Cages', shared on Mind-Warp Pavilion in 2007.
It includes all 4 shows (some show has small cuts and missing songs)

'Ice On The Cages' collected from my tapes traded at the time, 1979 or so.
Surprisingly I have never seen any masters being traded.
Again, surprised no better versions have surfaced?
These concerts were as good as the Earls Court run.

Just looking thru an old list from a collector a long long time ago,
He had listed as 1st Generation copies

19th - 23tracks - 110mins - Q9 with SLove/STS cuts
21st - 22 tracks - 105mins - Q9
22nd - 20 tracks - 90mins - Warszawa cut encore missing, then had a unknown gen complete with the missing encore as q7

His 20th was unknown gen 23t, 105, q8 Warszawa fadded in

I think these shows from Glasgow were better than the London shows...also liked the Newcastle run also...probably i prefer smaller venues!
