I heard a lot of Bowie tributes briefly that generally reworked the songs instead of trying to capture the originals faithfully. Normally I would find this irksome but this is Bowie and his shapeshifting and reworking is one of the reasons I loved him. All of this to say what are some of you all's favorite Bowie tribute bands or concerts? Maybe cover albums or just a list of one-off concerts? I want to dig into this and see what people can do with the originals.

I tried finding tributes on this site and so far have found:

2016-01-15&16 - Rage Tribute (Night 1)
2016-12-03 Bowie in Berlin
2021-01-09 - A Bowie Celebration - Tribute Concert

The only one I've seen that I would go and see again is Mike Garson's Bowie Celebration with all original band members and guest vocalists singing the songs.

Robyn Hitchcock used to do an annual charity thing (for Medecin Sans Frontieres) where he would get a bunch of  friends together and cover a favourite album in a small pub in Clerkenwell. I remember him doing the Beatles' Revolver, Pepper & Abbey Road albums, Floyd's Piper and also Hunky Dory. Each time they would also throw in some other relevant songs for encores. I've got some recordings if anyone is interested.

I'd pay to see Gail Ann Dorsey sing Bowie tunes for a night.
Nobody else really.
