Oh wow, I’d forgotten about that set. How would you rate the quality of those video tracks on the DVD?

I wish I could post screenshots for you to demonstrate, but the 'Sound & Vision' copy is as clean - if not cleaner - than I have ever seen it before. It's possibly a coincidence (I will write to him & ask) but the podium at the close of the YA Songbook medley has NACHO written on it!
'Can You Hear Me?' is the Cher duet appearance & 'Fame' is there too
Also included is 'Fame' & 'Golden Years' from 'Soul Train' (ABC TV, December '75)
Also an alternate take of 'Right (aka Never No Turnin' Back)' & 'Who Can I Be Now?'

The main difference between the 2 DVD versions is the inclusion of the Dick Cavett footage of 'Footstompin' only on the 5CD/DVD set, but on the earlier 'Sound & Vision' set we get all 3 tracks (1984, Young Americans & Footstompin') plus all 3 interview clips.

Its been the best circulating source since. While hard to watch, I'd watch a better source if it turns up.

Yeah the seller’s asking $170 but it’s still sealed so I guess that’s fair. I’m trying to find any Cher fans I might know who may have possibly splurged for this

U have to buy a box set of the Director - to be able to legally buy Baal on DVD
the 'last' Ziggy reissue is only on gold vinyl

The Cher DVD box set arrived today. Just popped in the disc in question and yes it’s the FULL Bowie episode in fantastic quality! Don’t worry, I’ll be ripping it as soon as I can. One thing to note though is that the “Young Americans” medley here has unfortunately been quite truncated; it’s just the title track intro (and reprise) and “Young Blood” but I’d guess there were a lot of copyright issues there. But thankfully we still have Nacho’s wonderful restoration from the official Cher YouTube upload of the complete sequence from a few years ago. Now hopefully I can re-sell this ASAP and get most of my money back!
