So..at just over 75 mins long do all the copys from this show have lots of cuts between the songs?..i assume this was done before it got released...and for what reason?...even without cutting the chat/audience..i still believe it would fit on a 80 mins cd?

I listened to it recently, so the answer is yes re the cuts.

To fit into the 45 minutes per side, people may have cut out applause - also because they didn't want to listen to it, it was jarring, they wanted to fit other things onto the end of the tape (tape was precious back in the 70s, at least in the late 70s and early 80s I remember finding that :) ).

NB it was one of those shows that, as you might know, only got 'released' in the last couple of decades (I can't remember when exactly). It's not that great a show imo, a bit business as usual - apart from less performed tracks like Gotta Get a Job, of course - after the more exciting Kingston Poly one just before it.

I could be wrong but I don't think any other available show from 1972 has The Wild Eye Boy From Freecloud in the set.

From memory it was taped by a journalist and they did stop the tape between songs.

Good point re Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud - though it might have been performed at one of the Rainbow shows?

Maybe it was copied over that way and the master wiped which contained the talk.
