I think this problem stems from the torrent box having the full title of a bootleg as the minimum size, "pressing" everything else. Its both on the front page and the browse torrent page, but not on the forums page.

Exactly, Moss. Particularly the name field. It's not responsive because it has a 'nowrap' tag, so it doesn't shrink down and wrap words like everything else. Now I have to figure out how to fix it. Or maybe JanErik does, since I can't find it in the CSS, and he's the Php guy.

learm... that's weird. What browsers, and what resolutions? At a high resolution, it'll be fine. The lower you go the weirder it'll get.

And Eddie - get a computer, will ya? iPad....

Those nice people at work very kindly supplied a tablet so I could check email without getting out of bed -- at least, I think that's what it's for ... ;-)

I thought they were for waitresses to take orders in restaurants.

The problem is in td.ttable_col2 in (probably) torrent-details.php. It should have a wordwrap operative, but doesn't, so the Name field is fixed-width. I have no idea how to add it, and JanErik is having connection problems. We'll get there....

Actually, they're great for carrying a couple of cups of coffee or even a couple of glasses of wine from the green room to the lectern.

I had a look at the [s]spaghetti[/s] source code earlier and thought that the problem was with the width of the myBlock div and its children, specifically anchors that are list-items in an unordered list.

I can't see where the width for the links in the unordered list comes from, or if it's in conflict with something else, but there's some HTML tables used for layout in the mix too.

So you've discovered what we figured out last week. The guy who wrote this was drunk. MyBlock is the small blocks on the left. They're the symptom, not the cause. The wide, center blocks are MyFrame, and it's a child of that, a td called ttable (yes, a td called a table) which alternates col1 and col2. Columns. Horizontal freaking columns.

(shouldn't they be rows?)

...and then my mind split open.

Don't you just love other people's poorly written code, makes everything so much easier  :-)

Is this 2.08 btw?

I have to say, I did have a good time with the CSS. It was like a Detective novel.

Yeah, 2.08.

In the early days of EL I spent hours looking for things that I had already found once but couldn't remember where  :(

Half the problem is figuring out what someone else has done so that you can change it, it doesn't help when they do things like calling rows columns, or putting notes in the code and then changing the code but not the notes.

It's a nice simple tracker/forum though.

Regarding this particular issue, is it a browser problem? I get a lot of issues with certain Chrome/Opera/Safari browsers doing things like this.

A possible 'quick fix' maybe?
Could you replace the spaces in the lines (in the language php file) that are wrapping with   ? Like "Torrents Needing Seeding" for example. Or does it strip the html out?
I have a copy but am not familiar with it.

I'll talk to JanErik about it. He's the php guy. I was thinking of a way to narrow that left column with css, but I'd have to change the wording on a few links and one header. Advanced Statistics to Statistics... Torrents Neeeding Seeds to Seeds Needed....

...and then my mind split open.

I did the changes with spaces to   and changed the long names.

Now the problem vanished on my phone.

Do anyone still have this problem?

That's all that can be done with the blocks on the left. They'll now be responsive, at least to a point. The only people who should have any problem now would be someone with a browser set to a really low resolution.
