First of all, hi all. New here, hence the abysmal ratio (so far).

I just saw on the BFI's Twitter feed that they're about to release all of the great Alan Clarke's work on DVD/Bluray, as well as put together a season at BFI Southbank. This is terrific news by any standards: his work includes some of the best British TV drama of the last 50 years (Scum, Made in Britain, Elephant, etc.).

However, the most appropriate news for this group is that Clarke's work also includes Bertolt Brecht's Baal, starring of course the Thin White Duke himself. I'm a big fan of Clarke's work anyway, but the chance to upgrade my low-res MPEG, grabbed from UKNova eons ago, is very much an added bonus. However, I suppose the package might be expensive overkill for anyone who's only interested in Baal. Anyway, details are here.

Thanks DuffPaddy, interesting! I too have a crappy video of Baal and would love to upgrade.
A shame it's a dvd box set and you need to get the whole thing, although it does sound interesting stuff anyway. Might be a bit pricy as you say.

The DVD set is in 2 parts so not to bad.

Blu Ray is 13 discs, gonna be mega bucks
