Hi

Thought I'd do this properly!

Been a Bowie fan since 1971 - my Mother bought me Space Oddity and TMWSTW for Christmas (I wanted TMWSTW she got both!) then I saw live with my brothers the original turning point - Starman on TOTP - that was me forever like many others. I shared a birthday January 8th with David and am left-handed. For whatever reason I felt a very special connection with him probably because of that (?) as he said he felt with Elvis - another January 8th-er.

I have multiple versions of the albums in box sets and remasters/rarities and am a vinyl fan too. I have loads of books from Pimm's to Rebel Rebel.

I collect silver live shows and outtakes and generally collect stuff! I have also downloaded a few torrents - from elsewhere not here however.

I had to retire late last year due to ill-health and finally began looking at Facebook and the headline Bowie sites which reinvigorated my collectors side and I have been avidly looking at what is out there. I had just bought the Five Years box and my delivery of the Blackstar CD and Vinyl (sadly not the clear version!) on the release date - our birthday. My 56th, David's 69th.

When I heard the news on the 10th I cried I will admit because he was so much a part of my youth.

touching story  health's more important than work

I gave up work few years ago in late 40's should of given up 10years before when they found problem and had surgery feel like it was in my teens now the bodies not, so this is my job playing around on here

enjoy yourself and there's plenty of others here that will admit they cried and still do
