Hello everyone. Just been reading this thread and thought I would explain the 'reasoning' behind all of this. Waaaaay back in the beginning, there was BowieAudio with a lot of very nice people all sharing and bickering just like you do anywhere online. Some of those people shared a great deal of information and files, that were (then) very difficult to find. After a long time of getting to know each other directly or indirectly, one of the administrators of BowieAudio decided to create a limited edition (30 copies) of David's acetates called 'Silver and Gold'. They were individually numbered and named and sent to the 30 people who helped to make Bowie audio a nice place for fans to hang out.
What we put in, we got back. A simple question of sharing. There was never any question of holding on to the recordings so that no one else could get a hold of them. It was done with a lot of love and care between friends, and that was it. Nothing more to it. All of the recordings on that particular CD are now generally available on youtube or other P2P sites. Nothing to get worked up about at all. SO, have a nice day, and keep sharing. Cheers. :D
