It's a good point Dave.
The majority of people hardly ever vote for our leaders, in fact it is nearly always the case that more people actually vote against the people who win.
Our Prime Minister (or at least their party) rarely gets more than 40-45% of the vote, which means 55-60% of the population (the majority) didn't want them.
How does that happen?

1. right, but also the voting system, as long as 'the winner takes it all' is the system in GB, You will never get power to all votes, up to 49% may slip away.
