Thanks! I should have mentioned that some of the website can be found via archive.org. However, not all pages are complete and the ones that are visible aren't necessarily the most recent.

this chap
and the rest of the
''we've heard it''
guys in the video
say there's Luther Vandross singing a lead vocal Bowie song
on one of these tapes
over the 'wrong' music
maybe none of it will ever be set free
is it not ok to dream for 5 minutes
?

you got the tape 2 on the bootlegs (the complete Young Americans first takes, Shilling The Rubes...)
John I'm Only Dancing Again is missing but there is an audio snippet around.
So I think we miss some tracks from tape 1 & 3
That said, I had never expected I could hear one day the first take of Young Americans

and of course, now there is more with the discovery of these new reels.

I wonder how many takes there have been of "Across The Universe"; wish there could be some alternate takes or rehearsals with John Lennon sharing vocals or harmonies.

I think that during these sessions David Bowie's voice was changing - he is really going at through all these songs - and this sessions always fascinated me.
The Sweet Thing/Candidate theme revisited by Ava Cherry (and the B face acetate) was really really good.

This could have been a triple LP  :)

But like most of us here I don't expect a full box of rarities before several decades... unfortunately...

As incredible as it may seem, the most important tape was released on bootlegs.
I would like to know other takes of the song Lazer, if they exist with the estate.
The versions of Saint in the City would also be interesting to hear.
I believe that the recordings made with Lennon may also have something different or even the draft of some unknown song.

When Max puts these songs on YouTube he won't need lawyers...don't worry

Professor ? did you spot something new on this extended David Bowie box set ? (was initially a bootleg (it's the remastered version by Captain Acid; thus I don't know if he re-EQ'ed a bootleg or if this is a fan release).

as far as I can tell the extended version of "Across The Universe" is a stereo mix of the 5.1 DVD which as a longer outro where you can hear John Lennon saying "let me just drop in!"
Footstomping TV show was on the official DVD.
The "stripped-down" mix have probably been done using the 5.1 mix of Young Americans (from the official DVD - which is quite old now)

"Fame "with flute overdubs is well known.

Luther Vandross's version is an official track.

The 2 Ava Cherry songs have been shared here...

no
i think i'm just
up to date
but not in the inner most circle
sadly

the Stripped Mixes can be done with an online file splitter program
and those radio/extras
are all lossy
Some bootlegs use 'clips' taken from Drexel's own website with a lecture about their finds.
Downloadable in glorious MP3.

the one interesting thing about the Cher TV Show [bootlegged] tracks
is they aren't edited
on most fan versions
the show WAS released on a new DVD recently-ish
but they have cut-out some of the songs in the medley

it's the Luther = the band = yes, he A Band at one time - version
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_BUvb5K1gE
"let me just drop in on..."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx6OcVyENlc
there's a 10 'CD' set of HIS out-takes online = i hear
and you get Lennon saying six words for your money
is the only difference
?
i have 3 versions of the same Sigma tracks in one file
on one - or may be 3 of these hdd boxes

"Luther Vandross sings A Bowie Song,
AND it's THE Lead Vocal....
...over the 'wrong music'......"

I have still yet to hear.
Lawyers,
lawyers,
lawyers.

I have browsed through this set : the extended version of Across The Universe doesn't have John Lennon saying "let me just drop in!"
at the time when the 5.1 DVD came out, I used to isolate front/rear/center channels to create some stripped-down mix.
Footstomping was on the DVD (as a video).
I remember "Somebody Up There's Like Me" could sound so cool with just piano + minimalist bass and David's poignant vocals.

"You can do your own drum 'n' bass mixes with them."
how do you explain
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IBJaq9zWzM
i get requests

someone called Kevin Armstrong didn't hate one of my edits recently
"Recorded during a tropical thunderstorm."
instead of paying $40-60+ for one track
i've been making my own

the only place i heard those lines by Lennon
is 'on' a 10 CD set
''I've seen it on the internet"

sadly no others from that session
which is 'funny'
coz' there's so many other run throughs on it

yes - i know u can have fun with DVD's apart from watching them
i just suggested a bootlegger went the easiest and cheapest way
they don't spend a weekend on one word
:-@
