The Spiders From Mars is an eight-legged, four piece rock band who spin a web of intriguing music.  Born from the rib of the rock god Bowie, the Spiders have an honnored name on the tablets of rock.  Immortalized in the Ziggy Stardust saga, this is the band which backed David Bowie to stardom.

This is their first and only record, now released on beautiful red vinyl.

Except that its really only 50% of the Spiders with Mike Garson on a few tracks. The  album is ok (IMHO) &  you can clearly hear its Woody &  Trevor but it would have been better  in my opinion if they had stayed as a unit with Mick Ronson, but  I guess  the money issues got in the way .  If you were not told  the name I doubt you would make any Bowie  connection but with Ronsons albums  there is a clear link in the songs & the playing . Never got to see them &  as far as i know  there doesnt appear to be any surviving  footage of their  tour ( unless of course you know different!)
Saw UBoat ( sorry Woody ,not great) but never  saw this incarnation of the Spiders. Given a choice I would invest in the Mick Ronson solo albums  as they are recognisably "Bowiesque".
