Just a reminder that the 4K screening of TMWFTE opens at the BFI (and other cinemas) on Friday.

Just heading off to see The Man Who Fell To Earth at the BFI. First time I saw this the support film was Kama Sutra Rides Again.

Kama Sutra ... was classified A, TMWFTE was classified as an X.

I do miss Pearl & Dean!

While I was watching TMWFTE this afternoon I thought the 4K wasn't anything to write home about, it looked pretty much like every other screening I'd ever seen.

Just had a look on the BFI website and it seems they had "teething problems" with the new 4K digital server and only screened the film in 2K.

Not what I booked and paid for. You'd think the BFI would have sorted out any "teething problems" before screening time. We're not talking about your local flea-pit but a national institution.
