I care most about sound quality, the performance of course will be just great. Even if the performance is awful it'd be nice to hear.

Better than David Live too. Can you imagine a band today playing for seven nights in a row at the same venue like that? Amazing. Chances are good that the 5th was not the only night recorded - there would have been at least one "practice run", recording one of the earlier nights.

Yeah must have been a dream. Out of interest, why personally do you think A Portrait in Flesh is better?

Bowie is more mellow. His voice is relaxed - sedate like Erik says. In contrast on David Live his voice sounds a bit shrill, like he's tense. I'm not saying the recording itself is better - the vocals are clear but the band is a bit distant, but its a bootleg what can you do. If there's an ever an official release I'm sure it will reveal better sound.
