On 20 May 1979, Bowie presented his own two-hour DJ set on BBC Radio One. The show was called "Star Special". I'd really like to hear him introduce his favourite songs from different artists, but the problem is that the Youtube video in the article below is now blocked (in my country, at least). I haven't been able to find the recording on Bowie Station. Could someone please help me out? If the recording is not here and someone has it, could you please share it with us?

BBC Radio "Star Special".

This was a much anticipated broadcast at the time. I remember sitting listening wondering what we were going to hear. (I have to admit, I wasn't expecting Danny Kaye!) Nowadays of course it would all probably "leak" weeks in advance. I still have the WHS cassette tape I used to record it.

When I was at university in the late 70s / early 80s I used to do a weekly three hour radio show and one week decided that every fifth song would be a Bowie song. That went down well.
