A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a tape collector who offered his collection to be uploaded at Bowie Station. He had transferred his whole collection to 24-96 files and had planned to remaster and upload himself but, due to time constraints, he was not able to. He wants to offer his collection to the Bowie community and do not want any other recognition than to be mentioned as a private collector.

Due to the size of the project, the fact that these are big un-tracked files and my limited remaster and artwork skills I have invited a few people to help out.

The members that have contributed so far are:

Jimmy Shelter - Remaster
Learm - Remaster
MossGarden - Artworks
Zannalee1967 - Remaster

To start with we plan to release the following versions of a show:

- 24-96 RAW version. This will be tracked, but no other editing will be done.
- 24-48 remaster. Done only if a remaster improves the sound.
- 16-44 CD version. This will be converted from the RAW version (or the remaster).

All versions of a show will be posted at the same time so you can pick which version you want to download. Depending on the interest we will decide which versions we will continue to release.

All releases will either be upgrades of current sources or from a different source.

We have 3 releases ready that will be uploaded over the coming days:

BOWSTAT001: 1976-04-08 - Dusseldorf
BOWSTAT002: 1973-02-15 - New York City
BOWSTAT003: 1996-07-20 - Balingen

I would like to give a big thanks to the Private Collector for making his collection available to the wider community.

Thanks also goes out to the participants of this project.
