Hello to all "Bowiestationers" !

On saturday 14th january, a Bowie and Friends special evening will take place at Pub Z (https://www.facebook.com/pubz.avignon/?fref=ts), a bar in my town, Avignon, South of France. It's a free event, free entrance, you can't even drink something if you like.

I will play some very well kown recordings by David, rare stuff too, and from Bowie "galaxy" (Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, The Kinks, Anthony Newley, etc...).

I have a very special request here :

I'm looking for something very special rare audio stuff not available here and in all "common places". I want this event will be a thing to remember for the audience.

So if you can help me, I will thank you for ever !

If not, I will thank you for ever too !  ;)

Cheers,
Damien.

Hi damienjones

That sounds like a fun night.

I don't have anything that is not already available here.
I don't know what it would be that someone has, I would off course be curious  :D

When not having something unique. you can play some of the stuff that most casual fans don't have like Let's Dance from the Bridget School benefit, and some from the early demos, a live version of Lust for Life, they are fun and have pretty good sound.

Maybe you can post your play list here after the event so we can see what you put together.

Hi MossGarden,

Thank you for your support and your advices !  :)

Let's Dance from Bridge(t) (like Jones) is a very perfect choice.

My play list will be posted here, of course.

Cheers,
Damien.

That is a very nice list, it must have been a really fun night.

I like that you opened with the original versions of some of the songs Bowie covered
I bet you got a lot of questions to what versions you were playing
