Hi,

I have a concert that I would like to upload. I have the MP3 file folder but have never uploaded anything to a torrent myself before. How do I upload the concert for BS members to download?

Thanks :)

First thing: - The preferred medium here is FLAC **UNLESS** eMPty3 is the only available version of a particular date. Contact Admin to get it checked.

Hi,

as tonebloke said, flac is the preferred format here, and MP3 is on allowed if no lossless version is available. That means that you should ask either on the forum regarding an MP3 recording or you can send me a PM. There are still many shows that I have received that haven't been uploaded yet, so it is best to ask before uploading.

You can find some info about the different formats here:
http://www.bowiestation.com/TT2/faq2.php

An unfinished upload guide (with uTorrent) is here:

I recorded and edited the LA Celebration concert (audio with Stings performances included). I do have it in WAV format too if that's any better?

I edited 2 versions, one with chat and intros and one without (Without being 35minutes shorter!)

WAV files are certainly better if those are the ones you recorded, and not converted from MP3.
You can convert Wav > Flac > Wav without loosing any quality, but when converting a WAV/Flac file to MP3, the audio quality gets degraded.

If the recording was done in MP3, the upload should be MP3, and if it was done in Wav, the best way is to convert the wav files to flac before uploading (same quality, smaller files).

Personally I would prefer the full version with the intros.

If you need any help with converting to flac or uploading, please send me a PM.

If you want my advice, you can track the intros so that they can be skipped. I chose not to do this because I just wanted it finished. I'm happy to help and have the time in the next day or so, but by the weekend I'll be busy.

Send me a message and I can give you tips as well if you want to do it.

Thanks for taping! I knew someone would!
