Hi all,

I don't want to get on anybody's nerves, and I have brought this topic up in the shout box, but feel it is probably best to make a topic of it, so I can nail it once and for all.

Simply put, I wanted to watch the three BBC Doc's, 'Finding Fame', 'Five Years' & 'The Last Five Years', so I search through the browse and found all three, plus 'Cracked Actor', and downloaded all four via transmission. So each folder has the various txts plus a folder with labelled 'Video_TS', and inside these are, I assume. the component parts of the actual video.

So my question is, do i have to convert these to be able to play them or do I just drag them into a player ?

I have tried the dragging them into iTunes, VLC, & Elmedia, but nothing happens. According to the txt they appear to be Mpeg4 files, but  I can't tell exactly. They are labelled 'Video_TS.BUP', 'Video_TS.IFO', etc.

So I am wondering if they have downloaded properly to start with ? Do I need to download video files through something else other than transmission ?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

If you right-click on the VIDEO_TS folder, then 'Play In VLC' should appear in the drop- down options list,
click on this and it should play in VLC Player.

Hope this helps, henrik

the files you have downloaded are not Mpeg 4 - they are DVD-Video format so will be Mpeg-2.
