This is really bugging me, as I can imagine the outrage if I started to make records & called myself 'Marvin Gaye' or 'Stevie Wonder', or formed a band & called myself 'The Temptations' or similar, yet if you go take a look at the David Bowie page on QoBuz you will find the following:

Fair comment.
The 2 'Donna Summer's' is equally as wrong too. With artists their name is a large part of their entire branding and it should NOT be legally allowed for others to steal it.

I have found several artists and musicians who use the name "Bowie" in their names. Some of whom are actually named Bowie. There is no crime as far as I can tell unless they are using the name "David Bowie" which is protected by copyright.

And as I have said, I have found several who are using exactly that name - David Bowie.
at least 2 rap 'artists' plus others.
