Is there a copy in existence that is not damaged during Teenage Wildlife?

There is a jump/glitch in the two copies I have = presumably from the same source.

The glitch in the the same place, immediately before "so you train by shadow boxing"

This was on the broadcast I remember, but I have a second copy from Swiss radio that doesn't have this blip. I will dig it out but I am away until Thursday.

Back at home now will be working on a torrent version of the Swiss FM broadcast, i'm presuming it's Swiss because it came from a collector in Switzerland and if so it would be 'off master'.

Got a few things to do today so wont be uploaded till tomorrow.

thanks again; no rush, whenever you have time is great

it might be a stretch but does the entire show exist somewhere?

Never seen a complete FM, there is an excellent audience copy available.

I have the Teenage Daydream CDs (I went to the shows and got the boot shortly afterwards from the Stables Market at Chalk Farm, if anybody remembers that shop there). For an audience recording, it is excellent. I think Bowie's form at Wembley was the best of the entire tour. I certainly remember at the time thinking I had never heard him in such good voice - and it transpired would never do so again. Would be good if the BBC did record the whole thing and we get to hear it. The tracks that the BBC broadcast knock the recent Brilliant Live Adventures into a cocked hat (although I do remember when recording off the radio at the time that John Peel sort of slagged Bowie off in his wrap up - seem to remember him describing Teenage Wildlife as grungy or some other pithy put down).

Anyway, thanks for the Swiss show.

Just had a listen and the BBC glitch isn't there, but there is one in Teenage Wildlife at "Whizz kid world" (at about 2:33). Strangely, just on the 16 bit version. The 24 bit seems fine.

Will listen to the rest (24 bit) tonight.

I did notice that glitch and it should be on both, it's the same recording just resampled, i'll have a listen again tomorrow

Listened to the 24 bit all the way through.

All sounds decent. Doubly convinced this is the best sounding recording and mix of a live show of that entire tour. Fat, crisp, full of reverb, great separation of instruments and bowie's voice is full, up front and in great shape.

There is no glitch in 24 bit Teenage Wildlife, so there must have been an encoding error for the lower res version.

The DJ intro is classic. The Swiss-German accent saying "Hallo Spaceboy" is the campest thing I have ever heard (and I've heard hundreds of Bowie shows!) Nearly fell off my chair laughing.

Link to the repaired version of 16bit 'Teenage Wildlife'

Seems it was a issue when I resampled it in Soundforge a background app running maybe.

This article is interesting, as I just picked up an M4a download of the Morrissey/Bowie - 1995-11-17 Wembley Arena, London, UK (BBC TCD 1070)

??/??/96 Morrissey/David Bowie In Concert #659
C. Disc #TCD 60 CD Stereo BWI

With this tracklist for the 17th November 1995

BBC Transcription CD: In Concert 659.

   Applause
Do Your Best And Don't Worry
   Reader Meet Author
   Nobody Loves Us
   Dagenham Dave
   The Operation
   Hold On To Your Friends
The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils
   Applause
   Look Back In Anger
The Man Who Sold The World
   Strangers When We Meet
   Hallo Spaceboy
   We Prick You
   Teenage Wildlife

This seems to me like a compilation of 2 different BBC broadcasts.
This is a single BBC CD from their "In Concert" series that was ripped. In Concert is an in-house Transcription Service imprint.Unfortunately its no longer available.

could be a fake but seems genuine from info available.

Also the Bowie tracks are on Ouvrez Le Chien - (Midnight Beat) MB CD 074 - SBD - 1995.https://www.bowiestation.com/torrents-details.php?id=2552

However looking forward to listening to this Swiss Broadcast.

Thanks SB.
Regards to All PB.

Ouvrez Le Chien (the boot not the Live Adventures) has the glitch in Teenage Wildlife.

What's really interesting about this broadcast is that it's not all from 11 17, but in parts either overdubbed or from another show (or shows). Teenage Wildlife is a particularly interesting case, as the vocal arrangements don't even match those on the tour itself, with Bowie singing some of the lines he usually left to his band and using phrasing that doesn't appear on any circulating raw performance.

Yes, he did - along with the 16-bit & the corrected 16-bit of 'Teenage Wildlife', but I am sometimes stoopid & did not see the relevant post.

Duh!

Thanks for the prod - I needed that
