I found a couple stray Bowie tracks on my hard drive that I'm trying to figure out where they come from. One is the 9 min Cat People and the meta info says the album is called Foreign Tongues. The other two are Dancing With the Big Boys dub & Dancing in the Street 7" instrumental. The meta on these says one is from Tonight cd 2 and the other Tonight cd 3. Has there been a fan made 3 cd Tonight & a compilation called Foreign Tongues?

I've got the 9 minute version of 'Cat People' from the 12" limited edition Australian release.
The 'regular' version clocks in at 6:45 and there was also a single edit even shorter at 4:09.

I've also got 'Dancing With The Big Boys (extended dub mix)' at 7:13 as well as the extended dance mix at 4:38.

Finally, I also have the instrumental version of 'Dancing In The Street'.

'coz someone made a 3 CD version ?
there was talk on another site of a promo short 3 minute version/edit of Cat People too
and one with 'cat growls on it'
that one is 'on' the soundtrack
i cut it outta the film

There is a soundtrack version, a single edit & a 9-minute version.
I'll check all my versions to see if there is a difference anywhere that cannot be explained by different mastering - compression might bring out something that was lower in the mix before.

'Tonight plus singles' is a total of 26 tracks but including the various 7" edits just might tip it to 3CD worth....my 'Tonight Plus Singles' is in high res from the vinyls though.

A friend created this, and has done something similar for everything up to & including 'Heathen' (although 'Reality', 'The Next Day' & 'Blackstar' have not as yet been done)

Do you have the lists for the other expanded ones he did?

I also tracked down Cat People with the growing from the movie. It actually makes the song better. More dramatic.
