There has been a few books on The Berlin Trilogy and one thin critique on the album LOW, just wondering if any recent biographies cover more extensively on the making of such a seminal album?

Thank you for taking the time to respond, indeed a mighty fine read ... there is a recent documentray of the chateau where it was recorded I have only be able to find the trailer!the clip below is rather interesting sounds like a session outtake!

The  recent Jerome Soligny book 'Rainbowman 1967-1980' has a chapter on each album in that time period  including LOW although I've not read it yet.

And there's also the Hugo Wilcken book in the 33 1/3 series

I really wish people would just stop it with the whole 'Berlin Trilogy' nonsense.
Low was recorded & mixed in France.
Lodger was recorded & mixed at Montreux in Switzerland.
The only 'Berlin' album was 'Heroes', recorded at Hansa.

I could not agree more!

And they are not even a trilogy in sound. Lodger is so different. If anyone needs to dream up a trilogy it would be with Station To Station that shares the wonderful cold/dystopian sound of Low and "Heroes"

‘Low’ had some elements recorded & mixed in Berlin, but at the other Hansa Studio, not the ‘Hall by the Wall’
