Yesterday, on January 12th, I forced myself to get out (wasn't easy) and do a mini Bowie tour around the city. Just his place, his fav bookstore, Magic Shop studio and 55 Bar (the latter two are essential in the light of making the ★).
You can see that the city mourns, too...
I felt even worse when I got home (I guess it was the reality of it that got to me, finally), but at the same time it was cathartic. At least it felt this way for a bit. I am still unsure if I believe that it's happening...

I saw a woman carefully placing this card among the flowers. She looked old, but in a cool young-ish way. I guess that's the gift of David Bowie - being forever young, just like he was. (I don't mean it literally  :P )

People were taking pictures.
That's understandable (for various reasons), that's what I did, too. But some folks were taking selfies! 8o With David's flowers in the background. Some even managed to make a selfie-video... I don't understand people...

P.S. = does anyone recognize this subway station?...  ;)  
That was the first EVER place connected to Bowie that I visited back in 2009. And, to be honest, I kinda found it almost by mistake. I wanted to find it, but then forgot, then I was walking in the Village, got lost... and voilà! here it is :)

wow, wow, you guys understand, suddenly I don't feel like "what's the matter with me" I see we are all having trouble.   I've cried every damn day since he died.  This morning I woke up and couldn't sleep at 5 am, very odd, and so was crying before I even got out of bed.


and, what is the significance of the subway station? someone, figure it out pls!

I do understand you, spyprettygirl. I've been crying, too. We all have...
I've read the *news* on Monday night, about 40 mins after they were posted (it was around 2 am here in NYC). And I couldn't make myself go to bed until almost 5 am, I was talking to Jean-Henri, and checking if it's just somebody's joke. It turned out to be truth after all. But I remember waking up the next morning: I've slept only 4 hours, and when I woke up, for a second I felt the relief, as if I woke up from a nightmare, finally, and it all was just a stupid dream. But then I remembered everything.
Strangely, I didn't cry until the next evening. I was refusing to accept the painful reality, and still hoped for the better (silly me). It took me almost 24 hours to accept it, and break into tears.
