Well Hello There.

I can't tell you how grateful and excited I am to find this site. Thank you all. I have a question about seeding. As I've been downloading, I look at the files in my bittorrent client (qBittorrent on Windows 7) and almost never see any of the uploading. When I do, the speed is VERY low. I have a fairly fast UP speed (20 mbit/sec), so I'm at kind of a loss. I want to be a good citizen here.

Thoughts?

Welcome Ron.

You'd only be uploading if someone else was on the torrent and was trying to downloading it. Looking at what you're currently seeding it looks like you've downloaded some very old torrents and therefore you won't upload anything unless someone else jumps on that torrent.

To upload, you need to jump onto a torrent that's been seeded very recently. The quicker you get onto a torrent like that, the more you will upload.

Hi Ron

If you do get on a torrent with plenty of leechers and still slow speed you might find your client is restricting speed I know mine does even with with upgraded tower modem etc still same as old   my utorrent speed test is 10mb d/l 1mb u/l only allows 1mb d/l 100 kB/s up   and then have to manually override amount of active torrents, amount it will allow to seed at once, connections available, upload slots per torrent
