Hi everyone

What a wonderful resource this is! Many thanks to everyone who is making this possible.

One precious memory I would like to share is this.... There were about nine of us, all aged around 12-15. We were gathered in breathless anticipation in Jamie's mum's front room, huddled around the record player. Jamie was the first out of the gang to acquire a copy of "The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust" and when he solemnly entered the room carrying the LP there was an audible gasp.

Nobody spoke as we listened to the entire album, each of us drinking it all in. Afterwards we were buzzing! We played it again and I remember the walls almost shaking as we chanted "Five years...." along with David's voice. My favourite track at the time was "Soul Love" but to me the whole album was full of wonder.

When my birthday came around I finally got my own copy!  :)

Five years must be a good one to chant too,  Taper at Santa Monica gets carried away to that one on boot that's used for offical,  and a few of us others still do but just dont tell  B)
