In one of the rooms of the 'David Bowie Is' exhibition, the music playing in the background is a wonderful Bowie mash-up consisting of dozens of his songs. I recorded this discretely on my iPhone and will upload it here as a torrent if: a) that's allowed and b) anyone is interested. It is not CD quality of course but still very listenable. There is some low level background chatter and the occasional cough but nothing too distracting. I really hope this gets a proper release. In fact I could listen to a whole album of material like this remixed / mashed up a bit like The Beatles 'Love' album.

Thanks Allanm. I found the Soulwax mix on Vimeo just the other day when I was searching for the Visconti mashup online. Thanks for letting me know it is a torrent as well.
I'm just trying to improve the 'hollow' room sound on my recording and then I'll attempt to torrent it.

OK I've uploaded it in WAV format which should be compatible with Macs and PCs. Bear in mind this is my first ever torrent upload  -so go easy if I've done something wrong. :?

You're welcome! I'm sure Visconti would like to see it released officially but of course it's not just up to him. As the work is already done, it would be shame if it was confined to the exhibition.

And I was going to suggest at first that I could possibly spend the ungodly amount of time and recreate this from the original recordings, but as I now hear he's obviously got the access to the actual isolated tracks, which I of course do not  :|

Sorry to be digging this old topic up again but I'm actually currently working on a new edit of this, using the audio Mr. Sussex most graciously snagged for us here (thank you again) and re-inserting the usable bits from the recent radio show with TV and parts from the intros of both the Five Years and Last Five Years documentaries...and yes, it is indeed beyond tedious.

My question then is if anyone else has happened to sneak a recording of this mix from the exhibit? Just so I could possibly have more sources to work with to get the absolute best quality I can get. Thanks!

slightly off topic, any one else agree that the SOUND/FIDELITY of the headphones they gave out at the BOWIE IS exhibit was state of the Art ! (the stereo separation was almost 3-D)  :o)

Anyone got a tracklist? I am specifically looking for that "electronica Young Americans remix" and a song which features a spoken "I am looking for a sign" snippet.
