Has someone still bought this new double DVD?

Maybe someone can tell me the content of DVD 2?

I've made the experience that a few DVDs have the same content but have other release titles.

Thanks a lot in advance . :)

I don't have it but, judging by the Amazon reviews it's either great or a rip-off.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/David-Bowie-Final-Changes-NTSC/dp/B01BC9L146

The top 1* entry kind of sums it up for me:

http://www.amazon.com/Bowie-David-The-Final-Changes/dp/B01BC9L146

Looks like it's repackaged material....

haven't watched the dvds yet as i just only received them, but inside the cardboard box packaging with the newer picture and the title "the final changes" there are actually 2 separately packaged dvds called "floating in a tin can - the missing years 1968-1972" and "a decadent desolation - david bowie 1976-1979".

no idea why you would call a packaging of older material like this "the final changes"....

Thanks surfling.

"Marketing" no doubt designed to catch peoples eye. Be interested to know what you think once you've had a chance to review it.

Blatant cash grab.

I have seen so much cash grabbing in the past 3 months....it's sickening! there have been so many "fans???" who for whatever reason need to sell their collection and have to sell them for bullshit prices online these past couple of months.

ok, i finally got to watch the second DVD in this set which here is called "A Decadent Desolation: David Bowie 1976-1979' but is actually a Chrome Dreams release from 2006 which has been released before under the titles "The Berlin Trilogy - Under Review 1976-79" and "Bowie in Berlin: Ein Dokumentarilm 1976-1979."

for whoever hasn't seen either - it's your typical cheaply put together pseudo-documentary with no budget, meaning not wanting to spend any licensing fees. so you get lots of journalist talking heads and a few short snippets from official bowie videos that look like they were copied off youtube or vhs tapes.

it's not really bad, especially for someone just discovering the berlin trilogy it surely contains a lot of interesting information, but for anyone who's been reading a few books on bowie there really isn't anything new here.

best thing for me are some interview bits with Michael Rother (Neu! & Harmonia member) and Dieter Moebius (Cluster & Harmonia member) that i had not seen before.

if you can get it cheap, give it a try, if not - don't bother, you're not missing much...

from the discogs page about the release:

"This 2DVD boxset is composed by a reissue of the original 2012 DVD 'The Calm Before The Storm' and the 2006 DVD 'Under Review 1976-1979: The Berlin Trilogy'."

i must say i quite enjoyed the "calm before the storm" documentary.
it has some john peel interview bits which make it worthwhile already  :D
