he vetoed Bunny Thing etc from the Decca set

I think we have been pretty lucky in recent years with some great material from the 60s into the Ziggy era finally seeing the light of day.

I find it fascinating that so much material from the likes of Lennon, Stones, Beatles, Dylan and such has escaped over the decades but Bowie seems to have kept a very tight check on things.

The Bowie fan base is aging with many passing away in recent years and the rest of us probably not around for much longer.  Why not just put it all out there now?

There are still so many albums and periods that require the full service treatment so to speak.  Aladdin Sane, Dogs, Young Americans, Station To Station, Berlin era, Scary Monsters, Outside.  That's 7 deluxe packages so we are looking at what? 10-15 years?  How many of the "original" fan base will be left by then?
