Isn't the Bowie vocal on Blackstar?
Or are we talking about a totally different version - all I have is the regular mix & the 'radio edit' version

I think what they mean is -

The only element from the original Bowie version that was used for the Nine Inch Nails Remix, is Bowie's vocal track. It's essentially a Nine Inch Nails song, with Bowie's vocals on top.

Trent shared the remix 'in tribute' to Bowie. It was only ever released as an mp3.

Yeah, there's two.
One is a mix with Bowie's vocals and the other being 'shared' is obv; performed live from a gig.
Both were mp3.
