Went to Sotheby's last Friday and Lazarus with a FB group I'm in.
Was amazing - but emotional. Michael C Hall, band and staging all excellent (LOVED Its No Game).
Agree with above that you should try and get there while Sophia Anne Caruso is in it.

Sophia Ann Caruso is back in the show, and pretty much steals it, although there is also a fantastic scene with Valentine which evokes the character of Alex from the film version of A Clockwork Orange as well as Ramsay Bolton from the television series Game of Thrones.

There has been some discussion of sightlines in the thread -- I'm pretty sure there are notices either on the Kings Cross Theatre website, or in the theatre itself, warning that a lot of action takes place on the floor. This might be grim for someone sitting a long way back or who is sitting behind a tall person, but we were lucky enough to be able to get seats in the third row and there were some empty seats in front of us (we didn't climb forward) so we had a fantastic view of the stage.

However, the staging is visually complex and there are several layers of depth on the stage (about six!) with the band right at the back, behind glass (I'd call this "layer 6" ). Some of the action also takes place behind the glass, albeit in front of the band ("layer 5" ) and also in front of the glass ("layer 4" ); other layers are the usual upstage ("layer 3" ) at the back, centre stage ("layer 2" ) and downstage, closest to the audience ("layer 1" ). Additionally, there is an upstage projection screen and sometimes the whole proscenium space is filled with projected images as well. And then there is action to the left, to the right or in the centre, sometimes simultaneously. SO it is little wonder that the audience's attention is being pulled this way and that, hither and yon, during many of the scenes.

I was surprised to find there were still front stalls tickets available as recently as last week, so I've snaffled up some more (not as close as Row C, but still in the front block) and will be going again before the run closes.

Got to disagree on the Sophie Anne Caruso front.  Was so pleased when she wasn't in the London version I went to - it was the one big improvement compared to NY.  Twittery showbiz vocals - just don't work for me.

Don't blame me, I didn't do it!

I was a bit thrown by the first number -- it sounded like a musical! -- but I soon adjusted to the delivery and was enthralled. I was also captivated by SAC. I really enjoyed her whole performance, even her movement, facial gestures, eyebrows ...

We weren't asked to quote National Insurance numbers or shave off our beards on the way in; the staff seemed more concerned about running around the auditorium, shouting about photographs.
