Hi Guys,
I'm thinking of selling my collection of these books on ebay. I've looked at some of the prices listed on ebay and quite frankly, the price that some sellers are asking for are a bit steep in my opinion.

I know that they are pretty rare and out of print but I'd be interested to know what price would you guys suggest is a realistic asking price? Also, would you sell them as a bundle or individually?

I've got 5 of them, Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane. All are in very good condition considering I've had them for 25 years or so.

I'm looking for TMWSTM, Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane - have already got Space Oddity and Ziggy.

The prices are all over the shop on eBay, but I guess the thing there is that just because they're priced at whatever, doesn't mean they sell for it.

The two I got, I managed for around £25 each, from memory.  Have seen some going for higher, but it felt a fair price.

I would definitely recommend selling separately, rather than as a bundle BTW.  Not only would the price of a bundle get off-putting, but for anyone who's already got some and not the others, it's potentially a lot of money to spend to get some duplicates.

BTW - abogner90 - Diamond Dogs is out there, but it's a conventional songbook, not a "From The Record".  I got mine dirt cheap because it was in lousy condition, but they do come up from time to time.

I have Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory. I'm interested in The Man Who Sold the World in Space Oddity. Actually, I'm only interested in Space Oddity,the title track, and an Occasional Dream. There are musical specifics i can't figure out from the record.

Thanks Guys,

Some good advice. I'd never considered that selling them as a bundle might put some people off.
I'm now thinking I'll list them separately, starting at £30:00 per book. As I mentioned earlier, they're in very good condition for their age. The covers have yellowed very slightly, but the inner pages are in great condition and the spines are still intact.

As steve23yh mentioned, Diamond Dogs is just a conventional chord book. The 'Off The Record' series ran from Space Oddity to Pin Ups.

I also had a LOW / HEROES / STATION / LODGER conventional music song book that got left behind or I let someone borrow. Whatever happened to it, its gone. Does anyone have this for sale? I saw on Amazon there was one for like $250 or something crazy like that. Anyone have said book willing to sell ? (The trilogy is my favorite period)

I commend JonS on not gouging fans for these books (which in my opinion are priceless and the best out there).  I am a collector and have all, including 'Pin Ups'. Whoever gets these are getting a real deal.

While on the topic, I am looking for both 'Labyrinth' and 'Absolute Beginners'.
