I have downloaded a couple of excellent live video recordings. Can anyone please recommend the best way to burn them to disc so that I can play them on DVD please?

The files I have seem to have title menus etc, I'm wondering how can I convert them to DVD-r so that they will run with menus?

Hi skellaway,

if you want to burn DVD's from VOB-files these have already menues and you can use free software like CDBurnerXP.

If you want to create your own menues from video files like mpeg, mp4 or flv and burn them to DVD you normally have to buy software. I use Magix Video Deluxe which is available in different issues and at different costs

You can find a link to the software in the New Faq on the left menu.

What software do you have access to?
If the files are contained in a folder called VIDEO_TS then what you have is a set of authored DVD-Video files, and the best way to deal with these is the superb freeware tool called IMGBurn, and you would do this by launching the application & choosing the option "burn disc from files & folders" and pointing the dialogue at the VIDEO_TS folder. The program will do the rest.

Check the file size too - under 4.5Gb means it is a DVD5 disc (single layer) but more than that normally indicates a dual layer disc for which you should always use DVD+R, not DVD-R so you can set a layer break where needed - and again, the program will give you a list of options of this needs to be done.

Hope this helps - please get back to me if you need more

ImgBurn is your best option.
