Hi All,

I`m Andrew and Long time Bowie fan which I will tell you about later.
My Laptop went screwy about 6 months ago and as I couldn't afford to either
buy a new one or have this one repaired I have been offline until a week ago.
As my HD was wiped I lost everything so I was starting from scratch again, once I got
started I went to Google and typed in...Mind warp Pavilion  but got nowhere so I thought
oh no not again like Savage Jaw but I looked around and found a link to here on Traders Den.
Can someone please tell me why did MWP go like Savage Jaw which I still have no idea what
happened there and Bugger it once again All my Ratio gone and im having to start from nothing
which is a bummer but what can you do. :-)
I first saw David in 1972, I was at one of the Rainbow Theater Gigs with the Lindsey Kemp Troupe,
also The Save The Whale Benefit at The Royal Albert Hall.
in 1973 I sent my Postal Orders (Anyone remember them?) and sent them off for the what I thought was a
single Hammersmith Odeon concert but they was returned as it was sold out, I was Gutted when Bowie announced the end of Ziggy, instead I went an earlier concert at Romford Odeon on that last tour.
I was a member of the David Bowie Fan Club as I sent back the joining form that came with Aladdin Sane and I was very lucky enough to attend the first days filming of the Midnight Special at The original Marquee Club.
I went to every David Bowie tour that has been in either London or Milton Keynes, I still have my Mainman Fan Club card and news letters that was sent out and signed by David.
Well that's enough of my memories for now I think..... :-)

Peace,
Andrew.

In May 2015 the former website Mindwarp Pavillion (MWP) went offline after mainly serving the Bowie community for 9 years. That sites admin, Chris Moffet (bewley), sadly passed away in the summer of 2014. A week before the demise of MWP, the moderators made the announcement that the site was probably going down. A few days after MWP went offline, Bowie Station was launched. Jan Erik is the admin of Bowie Station, and with him he has former MWP users as moderators at the site. A full history from the days of Savage Jaw are in the works.

Hi Andrew :-) Just got back here myself... I was a member (Insomniac) on Mindwarp, and been a Bowiefan since the late 70's early 80's... Like reading about your memories... and everybody elses, as long as they are about Bowie  :P . I know what you mean about MWP being gone... but the reason is very understandable... it was mainly due to the passing of Bewley...the man who made it all happen in the first place... Now we have Bowiestation  B) Still exploring myself... but looks good!

Hi Andrew,

your personal David Bowie History sounds amazing and I wish I could have attended a Ziggy show as well.

It's great that you are on the site and that you can share some of your memories with us now.

Hi JanErik,

thank you so much for this really sad news about Bewley that truly Sucks Mate. :-(
How old was he when he passed?
I would just like to thank you Guys for your dedication in continuing this especially now
we have lost our HERO!
If I can get my Epson Printer to stop Sulking and start talking to my Laptop again I will scan some of my Bowie stuff from the Mainman Fan Club.
I still have my Very first David Bowie I bought "Love You Till Tuesday" which I bought from my
girlfriends Dad at the time a Demo copy as he was a record shop owner. :-)

Peace,
Andrew.

Welcome Shakey, great memories!

I didn't get into Bowie until around mid 1973 and, by then, he'd departed and was towards becoming Halloween Jack. Wished I'd seen him earlier as Ziggy though. It would have been tough to have coped with all those screaming girls but I'd have made it somehow I think... :D

Saw him on the 4th and 8th May at Wembley in 1976 and all three nights at Earls Court in 1978.1976 was better for me musically but 1978 was more exiting as I managed to rush the stage at all 3 nights as the lights went down and got into the aisles in block A, about 20 feet from the stage. Now that was an experience I'll never be able to repeat again!

I saw him in Rotterdam, De Kuip for the first time, may '87 Glasspider tour, then in '90 openair concert in Nijmegen Goffertstadion, a few years later :D october 2003 in rotterdam again but this time Ahoy, and the last time was in the Amsterdam arena 2004 ... I believe I saw him 5 times in total :? but I'm missing one now... never mind...these 4 are for sure :P  I consider myself the luckiest bitch on earth to have seen him up close and almost personal ;) ... he winked at me in 1990 :D we were so close to the stage we could almost touch... and I do understand learm, I also feel a little jealous :D I wish I could have been there as well with you guys in your era,  lol , 62... what does that mean... I'm 50 next month, age is irrelevant :)
Nice to meet ya :)
