He sometimes changed lyrics in live performances.

He also may have momentarily have spaced them too.....

I dont think it means Eno wrote the song.... Eno is amazing in his own right, and their collaborations yielded (IMO) the best of david bowies albums, including Outside...but no, David wrote Heroes.

we know Eno didn't do lyrics,  Bowie changed the lyrics in live performances because he forgot the lyrics or their placement he,d even admitted it, this is just a good example  that's a total stuff up of 1st verse  1st line is only 1 thing right in it,

OK time for me to fess up - but perhaps I'm not the only one!  I've never got round to actually watching the Ricochet video - but by the looks of the tracklisting, that's where these clips come from.

Has anyone ever got round to watching it??

Of course I've watched the Ricochet video, but it was a long long time ago.

I do remember a garage-punk-band of young asians playing Ziggy... (though that is perhaps not the most interesting in the video).

I also do remember some very nice footage of db visiting a buddist temple and more, so it's definitivly worth watching!

I'm guilty too, well may of watched way back last century but don't think so started off to hard to watch I wanted concert not a doco in a language I couldn't understand (whoops a lot later in English). So I've just checked out you're correct so we may see complete videos come out of the vault someday

interesting though I'm keeping away from Singapore not allowed to chew gum in public and they're strict on it,  Taking all my meds in they may think I'm some sort of drug dealer and I'd be saying no it's because I'm not right in the head, you certainly aren't bringing in drugs you're getting hung in the morning

The things I do for you guys!  I've just watched Ricochet - no, honest, I've just watched it all the way through.  

That's an hour I'll never get back.  Can't remember having that much fun since I had to change the kids' nappies.

Anyway, the Heroes and China Girl clips are DEFINITELY from Richochet (which also includes Look Back In Anger and Fame).  Despite Heroes and Fame being shown in the Singapore and Bangkok sections respectively, all were actually filmed at the Hong Kong 8th December gig.

I've done it for you - honest, I wouldn't recommend going in there yourselves...

All the way through, You Poor Boy, I bought it as Video in those times, it cost me about 80 Euros and it is mostly sh.t.....
Nowadays it is on one of the many Serious Moonlight DVD's as a "Present", but I've never seen it from DVD, once is enough for a lifetime !!!       :-(  :-(

My turn to 'fess up. I'd never even heard of it but, as the 'magic' words "Serious Moonlight" was mentioned, I'm now not surprised. That coupled with the "Glass Spider" tour was enough to put me into therapy for 20+ years.... :-) However, what with the meds and the occasional counselling visits I'm getting better now as I can at least write the words...  :-@

Not from another planet, they came gushing through from another dimension when he inadvertently opened up that portal in his swimming pool in 1975. After he'd drained the pool to rid himself of the demon, they couldn't get back - 'the water's all gone' - so he kept them as pets, and their constant grief-stricken cries inspired him to compose the heartbreakingly mournful instrumentals on Low and Heroes.
