Could it be that he is referring to the Aylesbury show, even thou the only link is the performance of Space Oddity. I dont know of any other early show that are doing the rounds.

Not sure as in 1969 quite a few of the sets that he did featured some songs from the album David Bowie... New one on me.

I just watched the Novello Space oddity.

I'm trying to figure out what it was that I was just watching.
The way he strums his guitar dosent match the music, then again it dosent have a microphone.
He is singing in sync. So he could be singing and not miming.

Would this file under, live or as an alternative recording?
A lot of musicians often did special recordings for tv shows that were different from the original, but they would use them for either singback or playback.

There was a link to a really cool video from 1969 of Space Oddity, he is miming in it, but it looks really great
